2011 Annual Report released

As always, the annual report highlights activities from many Platform members on up-to-date emerging issues related to agriculture, rural development and food security. What makes 2011 report special is reflected in its title ‘Strengthened networking. Knowledge exchange in motion’.

Active involvement of members and a willingness to engage and share make the Platform unique and add value to our individual efforts.

The Platform can collectively influence the political agenda through knowledge sharing between its members and advocacy to convince politicians that common understanding of problems and mutually agreed solutions will have the greatest impact on food security throughout the world.

We hope that the spirit of sharing and collaboration that defined the success of our annual general assembly in January 2012 will continue to inspire Platform members to share experiences and engage in, sometimes, difficult debates on what works and what doesn’t in the coming years. We consider it a privilege and honour to chair this platform of persons and institutions engaged in improving the lives of rural people throughout the world.
