An official side event to the meetings of the UNFCCC Convention Bodies, the event demonstrated that greenhouse gas mitigation through agriculture is both possible and underway.

The event presented several case studies from around the world demonstrating field work on greenhouse gas mitigation in agriculture, including monitoring, reporting and verification issues, synergies with adaptation, and impacts on food security and livelihoods.

Demonstrating Agricultural Mitigation was co-organised by the Platform, IFPRI, FAO, IFAD, CGIAR, CCAFS, IFAP and the World Bank.

Note: The meetings of the UNFCCC Convention bodies were held from 31 May to 11 June. They include the thirty-second session of the subsidiary bodies of the UNFCCC Convention (SB 32) and the twelfth session of the AWG-KP and tenth session of the AWG-LCA (AWG-KP 12/AWG-LCA 10).
