Selecting Monitorable Indicators for Agricultural and Rural Development Programs - Measuring Results in less-than-ideal Conditions, Draft paper

The purpose of these guidelines is to provide task team leaders working in Agricultural and Rural Development (ARD) with certain basic tools to help with the selection and use of core indicators for monitoring and evaluation of their projects and programs.  In the process of preparing the guidelines it soon became apparent that the readership could be broadened since the messages in the guidelines were relevant not just to the ARD sectors, but to others as well, and that the guidelines could serve as an aid not just to World Bank staff members but also to others working at the country level and struggling with the question of how to measure results.
