The Global Donor Platform for Rural Development commissioned the present study to examine the formulation and implementation experience of sector-approaches in A&RD and to identify any key lessons for improving the way in which development assistance is currently supporting SWAps or A&RD more generally. This synthesis report prepared by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) brings together material from seven country studies three of them in-depth field based investigations (Tanzania, Mozambique and Nicaragua) and four lighter-touch desk based reviews (Uganda, Cambodia, Vietnam and Ghana).
The present draft is currently under review by the Focal Points of the Platform. The final report is expected for mid-October 2007. |
