Written/Published in 2007 by No specific author

Extract

By improving the living condition of the local population by increasing the family income through legal occupation, and sustainably increasing the agricultural productivity through augmented use of irrigation, the project has had direct impacts: guaranteed and year-round availability of water due to increased storage capacity and improved irrigation efficiency; cultivation of more significant products, especially flowers and vegetables. Agricultural small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are capable to increase their production significantly, and additional jobs were created. A contribution to the stabilization and decline of prices for stable food sold on the local markets has been made.
