This CAADP Report for the 3rd quarter of 2007 (July – September) is being presented against the backdrop of positive news, in general, on Africa’s economic performance, and in particular in the agriculture sector. Africa is experiencing remarkable economic growth over the last 10 years at an average annual rate of 5%. Available data also demonstrates that there has been a steady increase in the levels of per capita food production over the same period.
