Extract
Draft of the Accra Agenda for Action (AAA) that has been approved by the OECD DAC Working Party on Aid Effectiveness for circulation and endorsement by the Third High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Accra on 2-4 September 2008.
The draft text is the culmination of one of the most extensive consultation processes ever held in the field of development co-operation, reflecting a high level of consensus to move forward on some very challenging issues.
The draft has been approved for circulation subject to further discussions of a limited number of key issues signalled in the draft by footnotes (see paragraphs 15c, 17b, 18b, 24c and 26c) at the Accra HLF. These and any other remaining key issues are expected to be resolved at Ministerial level at Accra. A group including senior officials from developing countries and donor countries/organisations —The Accra Consensus Group— has facilitated the draft. |
