The German Committee for Disaster Reduction (DKKV) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH are organising the 7th Forum and Disaster Reduction Day with the title:
Out of the blue? Disaster Reduction: Knowledge, Transfer, Practices
The programme is designed along the following thematic lines:
- Communication with the population groups concerned
- Education and training
- Dialogue and networking as an institutional imperative
- Knowledge management – an international task
- Science: Improved communication with users
- Thematic sideline: Heat and drought in Europe
With the support of the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the event is scheduled to take place at GTZ in Eschborn (Germany) from 19 – 20 October 2006.
