The conference Policies against Hunger V – After the flu: No birds, no food? from October 19 – 20 in Berlin will discuss the impact of Avian Influenza and its implications for food security and agrobiodiversity. Recommendations will be elaborated to assist the International Community in managing the risks of Avian Influenza and to develop sound and sustainable strategies for its prevention. Focus will be put on the interests of small holder farmers, food security and the conservation of genetic resources.
The conference is organised by The State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.
