The OECD Regional Outreach Event Sub-Sahara Africa is entitled "Fostering Country-Owned Policy Strategies for Agriculture and Rural Development" and will take place 3rd – 4th October 2006 in Saly, Senegal.
OECD outreach events are organized to disseminate OECD's analytical work and policy experience to a wider audience of policy analysts and development practitioners, obtain feedback on the relevance and impact of this work, and improve mutual understanding through an exchange of experiences with representatives of the public and private sectors in non-member countries.
This outreach event in Africa is one of a series of regional workshops (Manila, 2005, Buenos Aires, 2006) organised to consider key challenges emerging at the crossroads of agriculture, trade and development policies.
The conference is organised by the OECD Directorates for Agriculture and Development Co-operation in collaboration with the Hub-Platform for Rural Development and Food Security in West and Central Africa. |
