From September 3 – 7 2006, CIGR, EurAgEng, VDI-MEG and FAO are organising a joint "World Congress – Agricultural Engineering for a Better World", which combines the XVI CIGR World Congress with AgEng2006 and the "64th VDI-MEG International Conference Agricultural Engineering". As part of the congress, FAO will hold a workshop on "Agricultural Engineering Contributions to Solve Future Agricultural Problems" covering two half days. The Conference will take place in Bonn, Germany.
The scientific sessions, posters, Technical Section meetings, and Special Interest Group meetings of the World Congress will deal with the latest developments in agricultural engineering. Thus, the XVI CIGR World Congress will provide an opportunity for agricultural engineering scientists and representatives of manufacturers of agricultural machinery to discuss current developments from many different points of view and to promote new ways of employing recent advancements in agricultural engineering in the service of the global agricultural situation.
Combining a world-wide, a European, and a German point of view, the XVI CIGR World Congress will enable delegates to establish new contacts, to intensify international co-operation, and to transfer their skills and experience to new areas of activity. |
