During the last months, the Platform underwent a thorough review of its effectiveness, efficiency and continued relevance with a view to informing the Platform’s future directions.
In December 2007, the Platform membership assigned Universalia Management Group Ltd., a Canadian evaluation firm, with this task. Their final evaluation report presents the findings and recommendations of the assessment. Read more... |

Between May 13-16, Platform Secretariat Coordinator Sonja Bartelt and CAADP Task Leader Yihenew Zewdie will be visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ireland, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and the Ministry for Development Cooperation of Germany. Senior IFAD expert steps up to head the Platform's Steering Committee
Brian Baldwin, Senior Operations Management Adviser at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), has been elected Vice-Chair of the Board of the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development as well as Chair of its Steering Committee. The vote came during a meeting of the Platform Board in Brussels on March 14, 2008. Read more ... |
