Platform focus in 2010
In January, the Platform Board decided to target activity for 2010 on four thematic areas:
Additional themes
Including the above, the Platform regards a range of themes and cross-cutting issues as central to good practice in agriculture and rural development.
Platform Policy Briefs
On many of these themes the Platform facilitates the formulation of Policy Briefs which provide guidance in designing effective delivery of assistance in agriculture and rural development.
The Policy Briefs are part of the Platform’s knowledge brokering activity which aims to enhance the capacity of practitioners to deliver more effective support.
Reflecting on the content side of delivery, the Policy Briefs can be viewed as the thematic extension of the Joint Donor Concept on Rural Development, which is concerned with delivery processes.
