The Platform regards a range of thematic and cross-cutting issues as being central to good practice in agriculture and rural development. By brokering knowledge on these topics, it enhances the capacity of practitioners to deliver more effective support to ARD.
The Platform’s focus in 2010
Platform Policy Briefs
On many of these themes, the Platform facilitates the formulation of Platform Policy Briefs. These are designed to inform and guide partners in development in the effective delivery of assistance in agriculture and rural development (ARD). Focussing on the content of ARD delivery, they should be seen as the thematic extension of the Joint Donor Concept on Rural Development, which concerns the processes of ARD delivery.
