The Secretariat is the service and management unit of the Platform
- It supports the Platform partnership relations
- It ensures transparent communications between members and focal points.
- It supports the Board and Steering Committee and is responsible for carrying out the Board’s decisions.
The Secretariat works in particular to increase the overall understanding of harmonisation and alignment (H&A) and to increasingly provide analytical competence for policy formulation and dialogue around issues of H&A in agriculture and rural development.
The Secretariat supervises and guides the activities agreed by the Board and outlined in the annual work plan, as well as makes the link to already ongoing initiatives which might complement the work. Using the active Platform network, it disseminates knowledge to provide the basis for informed decision-making and to provide insights to H&A bottlenecks as a global public good.
Christoph Langenkamp
Coordinator and Task Leader Agricultural and Rural Policy
Christoph is in charge of coordinating and managing all Platform activities, including strategic development, financial management, annual reporting, and the launching of new activities. He also provides policy advice on harmonisation processes and selected issues in ARD, and provides quality assurance to Platform products.

Rasit Pertev
Agriculture and Rural Development Policy Expert
Rasit is responsible for facilitating the Platform’s engagement in various thematic ARD policy areas, supporting the Platform’s processes and outputs, as well as providing policy advice to its members on selected topics.

Task Leader CAADP
Yihenew assists our Members and further development partners (DP) to engage more effectively in supporting CAADP. His main task centres around streamlining CAADP-related communications and knowledge-sharing.

Communications Officer
Pascal supports the implementation of the Platform’s advocacy and outreach activities. He is in charge of the Platform website and Platform publications and gathers information on in-country donor coordination efforts.
