If women had the same access to productive resources as men, they could boost yield by 20-30 per cent. This would raise the overall agricultural output in developing countries by two and a half to four per cent, which in turn could reduce the number of hungry in the world by 12-17 per cent.
// Empowering women for inclusive growth in Agrica
A key objective of the conference, the first of its kind, is to highlight policies and reforms that empower women in developing countries to improve agricultural productivity and nutrition and reduce hunger and poverty. The conference is being organised with participation of researchers, policy makers, women farmers and other stakeholder from different regions of the world.
