The 45th G7 Summit this year will be hosted by France. The Summit will gather the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, along with the presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, to discuss global policy issues of high relevance on diplomatic agendas.
Under its G7 Presidency, France is tackling the roots of inequality and working to make genuine progress towards the day when Article 1 of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen will become a reality. The intention is reflected in the group format of the Biarritz Summit which has been revamped to accomodate the participation of major democracies with major regional influence, 6 African countries, and civil society. The aim of such a major unprededent step in the history of the Summit is to form coalitions around projects and produce solutions to combat all forms of inequality more effectively, legitimately and tangibly.
