On 1 October 2024, Devex published an opinion article “How blended finance can catalyse private capital for agriculture” authored by GDPRD Co-Chairs Federica de Gaetano (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, AICS) and Bruce Campbell (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, SDC).
The Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD) is pleased to welcome the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as its newest member.
The GDPRD Secretariat is pleased to announce its latest working group dedicated to sustainable and blended finance for food systems. We are delighted to introduce the Co-Chairs of this new working group, Tuleen Alkhoffash of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Songbae Lee of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). They will guide the group for the two-year term (2024-2026).
This International Growth Centre (IGC) evidence review maps the existing body of practitioner and academic evidence on lending to agricultural small and medium-sized enterprises in developing economies and identifies research and learning priorities to fill key gaps.
This publication highlights the latest in a series of country change stories connecting global agrifood systems discourse to specific realities in Côte d’Ivoire, Cambodia, the Pacific, Guatemala and Albania, to demystify some of the terms involved and make sense of what they mean at country level.

Ji-Yeun Rim is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). She also co-chairs the Donor Platform’s Thematic Working Group on Rural Youth Employment. She shares her aspirations for the working group and how it plays a part in making development happen.
This year's report is focused on financing to end hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition in all its forms. A definition of financing for food security and nutrition and guidance is provided with recommendations regarding the efficient use of innovative financing tools and reforms to the food security and nutrition financing architecture.
