  • Fin4Dev Dialogues: Stabilizing Agrifood Systems Amid Trade, Energy and Market Volatility

    22 April 2026 | 8.30–9.45 AM (New York ET) / 14:30–15:45 (CET) | Hybrid: In-person and on Zoom. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD) are co-hosting a breakfast meeting at the ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development (FFD Forum), as part of the Financing for Development (Fin4Dev) Dialogues. The session will examine how current trade and energy disruptions are affecting agrifood systems and what recent shocks have taught the global community about strengthening resilience.

It is co-organized by the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

  • Webinar: The Value of Adopting a Systems Approach for Agrifood Finance

    Join Corinna Hawkes (Director, Agrifood Systems and Food Safety Division, FAO) and Jim Woodhill (Senior Advisor, GDPRD) for a timely conversation on how a systems approach to agrifood finance can help donors and investors align constrained resources to catalyse system-wide impact.

    The 2025 Annual General Assembly will focus on "Investing in the Future of Agrifood Systems: New directions for development finance". The sessions will explore how agrifood systems can be financed into the future and what this means for donors in a rapidly changing development landscape. A fresh rethink is needed to ensure financing matches the scale of the challenges ahead.

  • CFS 53 Side Event SE26 – Blended Finance and Impact Measurement in Agrifood Systems: The Catalytic Capital Framework

    This CFS53 Side Event (SE26), presents the GDPRD’s Thematic Working Group on Sustainable/Blended Finance and the new Catalytic Capital Framework with testing insights from donors to support more consistent assessment of impact and additionality in agri-SME blended finance. The event is co-organized by the GDPRD, IFAD, and the Agri-SME Learning Collective.

    This CFS53 Side Event will reaffirm the importance to double down global efforts to transform agrifood systems and strengthen multilateralism amid mounting global, declining ODA and weakening international cooperation.
