  • 22 April 2026 | 8.30–9.45 AM (New York ET) / 14:30–15:45 (CET) | Hybrid: In-person and on Zoom. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD) are co-hosting a breakfast meeting at the ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development (FFD Forum), as part of the Financing for Development (Fin4Dev) Dialogues. The session will examine how current trade and energy disruptions are affecting agrifood systems and what recent shocks have taught the global community about strengthening resilience. 

  • With major donors reducing development aid, the global development community is under pressure to do more with less. Speakers will explore how emerging financing mechanisms can contribute to youth employment creation. This is a webinar by the GDPRD's Thematic Working Group on Rural Youth Employment.

  • Join the Donor Platform at the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development side event, titled “Financing Agrifood Systems for People, Planet and Prosperity: Towards a new pact for mobilizing capital, reforming systems, and driving transformation at scale”.   • Investing in Youth: The Role of Development Banks - A webinar by the Thematic Working Group on Rural Youth Employment.

  • This year's Annual General Assembly will take place on 26-27 November 2024, under the theme "Financing Food Systems Transformation and Rural Revitalization: Opportunities and Challenges". We will examine how the international community is rethinking the use of limited Official Development Assistance (ODA) donor resources in food and nutrition. This includes exploring innovative financing, better coordination of donor approaches, and stronger harmonization of stakeholder engagement.
