The 2025 Annual General Assembly will focus on "Investing in the Future of Agrifood Systems: New directions for development finance". The sessions will explore how agrifood systems can be financed into the future and what this means for donors in a rapidly changing development landscape. A fresh rethink is needed to ensure financing matches the scale of the challenges ahead.

The launch of the Youth Workstream of the Global Flagship Initiative for Food Security is a milestone moment to empower young leaders in driving global action for sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems. Maurizio Navarra, Secretariat Coordinator of the GDPRD, will speak at the event during the "From Promise to Delivery - Partner Perspectives" session.

This CFS53 Side Event (SE26), presents the GDPRD’s Thematic Working Group on Sustainable/Blended Finance and the new Catalytic Capital Framework with testing insights from donors to support more consistent assessment of impact and additionality in agri-SME blended finance. The event is co-organized by the GDPRD, IFAD, and the Agri-SME Learning Collective.
