Join the Donor Platform at the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development side event, titled “Financing Agrifood Systems for People, Planet and Prosperity: Towards a new pact for mobilizing capital, reforming systems, and driving transformation at scale”. The session will take place on Monday, 30 June 2025, from 14:30 to 16:00 (CEST) with fully virtual participation.

This IFPRI Seminar, held during the World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings and co-organized with the World Bank, will address the ongoing global food crisis, with a focus on overcoming obstacles like conflicts, funding cuts, and inefficiencies in financing systems. Experts will explore solutions to enhance food security, strengthen value chains, and align public and private resources to tackle hunger and malnutrition.

Join the Donor Platform at the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) Biannual Meeting on Collaborative Governance. GDPRD Senior Advisor Jim Woodhill will outline current challenges at the global, national, and local levels, including their root causes and recent developments in financing for food security and nutrition. GDPRD Co-Chair Bruce Campbell will share perspectives and experiences in using various financing instruments and solutions from CFS Member States and constituencies.

12 December, 14:30-15:30 CET | “The Future of Youth in Agrifood Systems: Tackling the Double Challenge of Access to Land and Finance” is a joint session by the Thematic Working Groups on Land and Rural Youth Employment that explores the central dilemma limiting youth engagement: how young people can access land without finance, and finance without land.

12 December, 9:00-9:35 CET | An opening session examining how shifting development finance dynamics call for renewed coordination, clearer alignment, and stronger commitment to transforming agrifood systems, featuring opening remarks, a keynote and scene-setting by the Co-Chairs of the High-Level Advisory Group.
