Acute food insecurity and child malnutrition rose for the sixth consecutive year in 2024, pushing millions of people to the brink, in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions, according to the 2025 Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC).
The World Bank's flagship Global Economic Prospects report for June 2023 outlines how the global economy remains in a precarious state.
The U.S. Government Global Food Security Strategy (2022–2026), which guides the Feed the Future Initiative, presents an integrated approach to combating the root causes of hunger, malnutrition, and poverty.
The report is the result of a collaborative effort among 16 partners to achieve a consensus-based assessment of acute food insecurity in GRFC countries. The report aims to inform humanitarian and development action by providing independent and consensus-based evidence and analysis.
