The ILO's new policy brief tackles the challenge of creating decent jobs for rural youth. It explores ways to address limited skills and resources faced by young people, while highlighting the potential of rural areas for job creation, especially in agriculture and green economies.

2016 Michigan University The Agrifood Youth Employment and Engagement Study (AgYees) examines the potential of Sub-Saharan Africa’s agrifood systems to provide new jobs for unemployed, underemployed and disadvantaged youth, and identifies constraints affecting the capacity of youth to take up these economic opportunities.

2013 marked the 10th anniversary of the Platform’s creation and we had many reasons to celebrate. The Platform established itself as an important convener of donors committed to tackle rural development challenges and to advance agriculture and rural development (ARD) and food and nutrition security (FNS) as part of the post-2015 development agenda.
