Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) as the newest member of its growing network. IOFS brings a strong and timely commitment to sustainable food security across the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). With a focus on advancing agricultural development, science and technology, humanitarian aid and food trade, IOFS is uniquely positioned to contribute to the GDPRD's shared mission of transforming food systems and promoting rural development worldwide.

The FSFC is led by FAO with technical contribution of WFP and UN OCHA. It aims to close the gap between humanitarian funding and early actions by focusing on anticipatory financing using scientific triggers. FSFC was supported and endorsed by the G7 Leaders in June 2024 and included in G7 Apulia Leaders’ Communiqué, as well as by the G7 Development Ministers gathered in Pescara, in October 2024.
