In a constantly changing world of work, young people must be able to position themselves as the driver of their career, and not just a passenger. Choosing a profession is an important step in the transition from education to the world of work.

A second brainstorming session on “Improving Investments in Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture” is organized by the Asia and Pacific Service of the Investment Centre (CFIB) together with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

Climate change and other forms of environmental degradation have negative impacts not only on ecosystems, but also on jobs and economies. In developing countries, vulnerable groups are likely to suffer the most from the changing weather patterns as they are more exposed to climate-related impacts and have less access to social and financial support, including social protection.

In the framework of the FAO’s project "BUILDING RESILIENCE IN THE SAHEL REGION THROUGH JOB CREATION FOR YOUTH", funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) of the Federal Republic of Germany, FAO and ODI have organized an event to showcase findings from a forthcoming report.
