International Women’s Day Dialogue With Land Ambassadors and Land Heroes

GLOBAL | 8 MARCH 2022 | VIRTUAL – CET

Gender equality is vital to deliver sustainable, progressive and meaningful action to avoid, reduce and reverse land degradation. UNCCD’s goal is to make sure women and girls are empowered in the global efforts to achieve land degradation neutrality. Ahead of the UNCCD COP15 and to mark the IWD 2022, UNCCD Land Ambassadors and Land Heroes will meet for an intergenerational dialogue on the effects of desertification and drought in their regions, particularly for women. They will discuss which initiatives and policies empower women as community leaders for land restoration and how to advocate effectively for positive change.

We’ll be live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube at 12 PM CET.
