This report presents innovative analyses on land tenure systems and governance, with a focus on women’s land rights and the role of customary tenure in addressing climate change and protecting biodiversity.

By compiling tenure- and sex-disaggregated data from governments, civil society, and academia, it provides an evidence base to support Sustainable Development Goals, the VGGT, CFS-RAI, and other international frameworks. Designed for policymakers, intergovernmental organizations, civil society, the private sector, and researchers, the report highlights the central role of secure land tenure in inclusive and sustainable development.
