IFAD publishes the new annual report – providing an overview of its work, results and impact in 2025.

International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has published its new annual report, analysing the first year of its thirteenth replenishment cycle. The report reviews IFAD’s response and investment strategies in food systems amid today’s turbulent reality. It emphasizes that small-scale farmers, rural entrepreneurs, and local enterprises form the backbone of resilient economies.

The first half of the report focuses on regional projects. IFAD operates across five main regions, including Asia and the Pacific, East and Southern Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Near East, North Africa and Europe, and West and Central Africa. The report provides an overview of each sector, highlighting key projects and its achievements.

The second half evaluates IFAD as a whole, assessing its overall performance on investment impact, financial architecture, sustainability, and strategic partnerships. By investing in rural communities as agents of change, IFAD tackles poverty and hunger—transforming the “first mile” of development into a powerful engine for growth, resilience, and employment creation.
