1-2 July 2026 | Utrecht, The Netherlands

In 2026, the LANDac annual conference will focus on the theme Land, Conflict, and Peace.
The event provides a platform to examine challenges at the intersection of land governance, conflict, and humanitarian studies. It invites participants to reflect on how war and its aftermath reshape our understanding of land governance and highlight the need for context-sensitive approaches. This reflection is particularly urgent today: around 50 countries are experiencing war or organized violence, impacting roughly one in six people worldwide. Against this backdrop of widespread global and local conflicts, the conference aims to foster meaningful dialogue among academics, practitioners, and policymakers.
