FAO provides a launching event of the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN)'s fourth note “Critical, emerging and enduring issues for food security and nutrition.”
The note highlights ten interconnected issues relating to food systems that requires attention in the future. These issues should not be discussed in their own silos; it should take a intertwined approach, weaving critical aspects in human life and food systems altogether.
This note is the fourth edition of the series report launched in 2014, developed by two successive HLPE-FSN Steering Committees and informed by public consultation. It supports the development of the Committee’s next Multiyear Programme of Work (MYPoW), acting as a critical point in for discussions at 54th plenary session of the Committee on World Food Security.
